Curriculum Vitae

Dr. Su Senapati is the Faculty Coordinator for the Learning Support Services and Instructor of English in the College of Arts and Sciences. Prior to her arrival at USF Sarasota-Manatee, she was Professor of English at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC), an unit of the University System of Georgia Colleges and Universities, where she taught a variety of writing, literature and humanities courses, (more...)including world literature and world humanities. She also served as the faculty advisor for ABAC’s literary and fine arts magazine where she pioneered the first conference on College and University Literary Magazines. She received her doctorate in English Renaissance Literature from the University of South Florida-Tampa, where she taught for many years as visiting and adjunct faculty in English and Women’s Studies. She has an M.A. in English from the University of West Florida, Pensacola, in Nineteenth and Twentieth Century British and Continental Novels; she also earned an M.A. in American Literature and Asian-Indian literature from Utkal University in India. Her research interests are in world literature and the dramatic arts. She brings with her two decades of teaching experience and several years of administrative experience that she intends to use in making the Learning Support Services a safe haven and collaborative space for the entire spectrum of the student body population and faculty consultants.
