Students interested in graduate school invited to information session at USF Sarasota-Manatee

The University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee will host “Gear Up for Grad School,” a free information session for students interested in pursuing a graduate degree on Saturday, January 22 from 9am until 3pm in the Selby Auditorium on campus.

Gear Up for Grad School includes an introductory information session, breakout sessions with faculty and program specialists, and workshops along with free practice testing.  The workshop options are as follows:

  • “Money – How to Get It?” with Financial Aid, learn about scholarship navigation & get helpful tips
  • “Writing for Grad School” – including how to write a personal statement
  • “Salary Negotiation Seminar” – mostly geared toward women learning wage negotiation skills (you can choose this option instead of the practice test)

The “Salary Negotiation Seminar” is available to Gear Up for Grad Attendees and the community but you must RSVP due to limited seating.

If you are interested in participating in Gear Up for Grad School and/or the salary negotiation seminar, please contact Ashley Tyrrell at atyrrell@sar.usf.edu or 941.359.4334.
